I must say that all my life I have been walking. And life is one fabulous walk. I am not sure when this particular life will end but let me continue the walk.
I like this image of walking. Every afternoon I take a walk. I do it for health reasons. I was diagnosed with vascular insufficiency. In other words, both veins and arteries in both legs do not work too well. Not anymore. It comes with age. I have surface wounds on both legs. They irritate me a lot. They emerge, disappear for a time, and then re-emerge. I have spent quite a sum of money on medications and ointments and creams. Right now I take medications for the veins and the arteries.
So I walk regularly every afternoon. I walk around the neighborhood. The legs, so I am told, are "the second heart". Walking helps improve circulation, it aids the heart. The heart does not have to do all the blood circulating work. The legs help. Walking helps the veins and the arteries.
So there, I take a walk for health. But I also take a walk for the heck of it. It is fun. It allows me to reflect, think in silence and in solitude. I walk and see sights here and there. I walk and I am reminded of certain events in the past or certain plans for the future. I walk with the sadness and joy of recalling the past and of looking forward to the future. The mind flows as I walk.
So this image of walking represents how I understand life. Life is one big walk. I would like to record my thoughts and ideas as I walk through life.
